I am an artist born and based in the UK. Both my parents came from former Yugoslavia. This is an important influence on my work as I feel their folklore and colour have woven their way into my paintings.
I studied my Postgraduate at the Royal Academy of Art learning a lot from my contemporaries and visiting artists. Being on the doorstep of so many galleries and museums including The Museum of Mankind then literally on the doorstep of the Academy. I now live and work close to Cambridge, where I studied my foundation. Where I made and still make frequent visits to Kettle's Yard Museum/Jim Ede's house enjoying works by Joan Miró, Ben Nicholson, and Alfred Wallis.
Each year over 350 Cambridge Open Studios members open their doors to the public over four weekends in July. I will be showing with 9 other artists for two of those weekends. Dates for 2019 on: 6-7, 13-14, July. Studios are open between 11am and 6pm at The Woodyard, 38 Cheddars Lane, Cambridge, CB5 8LD https://www.camopenstudios.co.uk
